Enkore and Boogiezone!

So I had the amazing opportunity to work with BOOGIEZONE and help with the creative process of making their new booth. It was presented for the first time at the first Enkore Dance competition this last week. It was great to see how much people liked it

Working alongside talented artists like Chris Chien and Stefanie was a blast. Big thanks to Elm Pizzaro for letting me be a part of it

I worked on the backdrop that stands behind the cardboard cut outs that Chris made. And I always worked on the fliers that were passed out as well! Here are some pics from the event.

The Red one is me. I love his broken lightning attack, plus my bat always has my back eating the heads of unsuspecting minions

Spain and Stef

A lot has happened of late . As of the moment I will be taking a concept position at a game studio in Madrid, Spain. I will be moving out there with Edgar Cardona , Daniel Garcia , and my Stefanie will be accompanying me as well. It's a great opportunity and I am looking forward to living and working abroad.

Sometimes I am so consumed in my art I forget to do the simple things. So this picture is for my awesome girlfriend stefanie who puts up with a lot of my nonsense and inspires me to be a better person. Anyways love you very much

Uncharted Redesign

So my past couple of images is an Uncharted Redesign that I am working on. There is no reason for it. I just love the game and wanted to try my own take on it.

Artist Study of the Day:George Guo ( Feng Guo)

Been awhile since I have done some artist studies. Any ways I really like the way he handle props and characters ( Something I suck at)

I learned a good deal from it and I am going to try to do these artists studies a couple times a week if not everyday any ways ttyl

Mech Warm Up Practice

Here is a mech warm up I did before work started, this is my second attempt. I am starting to get more comfortable with it! Hopefully the next one will be better! Recently took some pictures at the new great O.C Park opening up just down the street from my studio, its pretty cool to take pictures and what not. They even have chess tables set-up . Path to Transformation

Been trying to approach painting and life from a new perspective. Not sure what it all means yet , but I am doing what I can. In the meantime here is a warm up painting I started yesterday . I am trying to enjoy the journey more than the end product, and practicing having more confidence in my abilities.

Desert Spaceship

Still studying how to paint vehicles and what not , and taking images to a rendered finish , luckily i sketched most of this out so it made it easier while painting it , look at tatooine in terms of colors. Thanx for looking!

Meetin Sketches

So I am not the best at paying attention during meetings so I usually draw :) . The top page on the left side are studies from Manchu's sketchbook ( which is an awesome book if you wanna get into spaceships) . Right side is me trying to deviant into my own designs. Middle page is just random spaceship sketches . I started to slowly develop my own voice while doing these . Vehicles is a weakness of mine so I am trying to study up on it. Last page is just random doodles here and there. Anyways enjoy!!

Another painting I started before I began my day at work. I kind of liked where it was going so I took it home to and painted it up a little bit more . I'd 2 hours plus of time was spent on it , not that it matters , any ways thanx for looking!

This was another warm up painting I started before I start working. I started it for like 20 mins , then painted on it during lunch break for like 45 mins , then I liked where it was so I took it to school and put another hour and half into it.

I was fun messing with new styles , very relaxing for me at this point

First Contact

Been trying to paint images at a higher res. It is actually rather nice since I can kind of splurge on detail. For now i like the process of painting at a low res , then upres-ing it. Anyways I have like a 6000 pixel version of it. If you want it just ask me . Anyways enjoy!

Warm Up

Starting doing some random sketches before work. I worked on these in the morning before for a little bit at a time. While I doing them I usually do some artist studies. I was looking at Joao Ruas at the time. Crazy Artist. Anyways Lots of interesting things have been happening. I'll be sure to keep yall updated!

A little bit

So I was recently inspired by a dance video I saw. It is called "Visions of a Love Unknown" by shaun (http://www.youtube.com/user/shaunevaristo?blend=1&ob=4&rclk=cti#p/a/u/1/JQZQYD06J-M) I really like the artistry of the film. I always find it interesting when dancers can tell a story out of their dancing. ( Not to mention the lighting and production quality is amazing for a dance vid) . I hope more dancers will do these kinds of vids.

So I took a screenshot from the vid and decided to paint it. It was easy the lighting was so good it wasn't that hard to paint from scratch. I took a more painterly approach, I wanted it to be something that you could hang on your wall ; ) . Ne ways I will probably post a high res version on my deviant art.
