The Islands

was inspired by a pic my lady sent me tonight so I started up a live stream and painted for a bit , about 2.5 hours total.

So my good homie anthony jones aka     just created an online video store where he sells some awesome content for penny's to the dollar. 

if you have ever taken a class from him or talked to him in general then you can understand that his ideas and knowledge on life and the overall industry is definitely something worth investing into.

so to see him creating some content for only 2.50$ to 5$ . Man that's pretty crazy . Even I already bought one and he is my best friend lolol.

anyways if you are someone who wants to get into this stuff or just wanna have something to listen or watch while you paint, I would definitely try it out. and give him feedback too so he can give you better content. I mean for only 2.50$ what do you got to lose right?

Demos done for my students in my Background design class and Concept Design Class . Slowly getting more comfortable talking and painting . Only downside is its pretty mentally tiring :/

Forgetting to Post for Myself

it has been the new year and I haven't done a painting for myself. I have been so busy and stressed out about work that I sometimes forget to do stuff for myself.

I sometimes forget not all the stuff I do on my blog and deviant has to be portfolio worthy, and that I should get back into the habit of just doing stuff and not caring. So sorry about that guys I am going to post a lot more now this year : )

Cliff Lake

Wanted to try out some different ways of approaching environments. This particular approach I took is from Eytan Zana. The approach is not too foreign but its something I wanted to explore a little bit more. He recently posted some psd files from the massive black workshop . I was able to take a look at the layers and break em down and try my own attempt. 

Since I took my time and kept all the layers I will post a tutorial soon of how I approached this paintinginting

Sci-Fi Demo

Quick Sci-Fi Demo done for my students . I usually do not post these because half of the time I do not like them . But as much as I like to think that every painting I do is a success , thats def not the case ( especially when done live and in front of students )

But I will start posting them more , I need to be more efficient about this stuff anyway

Rest In Peace Grandpa

As many of you know my grandfather recently passed away . It was definitely a hard time for the family , but also a great for us to come together to celebrate his life . I was able to meet a lot of people from my Hawaiian side who I have not seen since I was a child , and some I have never met in my life. I will always remember the good times with my grandfather. So I hope you are resting in peace!

This one is for you grandpa, I hope the waves and fish are plentiful in heaven :)

Quick Break

Quick break from work , this year I barely post anything. Sorry for the lack of posts guys . I have been kind of burnt out. Hopefully with this mini vacation I will be taking to go home and see old friends and familiy is exactly what I need to get back into it. I am too young to be burnt out haha.

plus I am getting a new computer too!! so that means I will be trying out more 3d and other avenues of art. My comp is mac pro 2007 haha so I think I earned an upgrade!!

hopefully that means making cool videos too for you guys!!

anyways gotta get back to it!! Thanks for all the support you guys give me . I probably don't say that enough but it really does motivate me when I don't feel like doing work!!

Sorry for the Lack of Streams . I recently took on a Teaching position at A.I. in Sunnyvale. Its been pretty fun thus far and students seem to be excited which is good. 

Our class we are redesigning one of our favorite IP's whether it be games , film , tv show , etc 

I am choosing game of thrones for the glass . So my first painting is a redesign of Kings_Landing. Unfortunately I cannot upload hi_res images or psd since those are restricted for my students . But I just wanted to show you guys I was not dead haha.
